As CEO , Dr. Moustafa is responsible for the vision and growth of SC Clinical Research. Under his leadership, the clinical research company has grown from a staff of one to 25 medical and clinical research professionals today, helping connect thousands of patients to new treatment options for multiple medical conditions. Today, SCCR is the leading independent, multi-therapeutic research company in South Carolina.

Over the past twenty years, Dr. Moustafa also has served as the principal investigator for the studies conducted at SCCR and has led over 200 clinical research studies. Before trials are offered to participants, he ensures the selected studies meet the highest standards and that each patient receives outstanding care throughout their participation in the trials.

Dr. Moustafa has established relationships with many South Carolina physicians groups that specialize in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Urology, Gastroenterology and more. This trust in Dr. Moustafa and SCCR allows access to a large participant pool and specialty medical services needed for success in clinical trials.

He is also the owner of SC Nephrology and Hypertension Center, Inc. ( SCNH) which specializes in Nephrology. He established this practice in 2002. He received his medical degree from the medical school in Cairo, Egypt. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Western Reserve Care System Youngstown, Ohio and an Nephrology fellowship at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina.
